Job board running slowly

Hi Mike

Our job board is up and running and working great.

The only problem is it is quite slow – this is a problem, as job seekers don’t want to have to wait for filters/ vacancies to load.

Is there anything that can be done? we have approx. 80 vacancies listed which is growing.

That is noticeably slow. How far have you looked into the cause? I doubt its job manager itself.

I would test with:

– default theme
– No other plugins
– More WP memory allocated https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Editing_wp-config.php#Increasing_memory_allocated_to_PHP

That should be a start. If the ajax request is still slow after these, it may just be due to poor performing shared hosting.

Tried 1-3… I think an upgrade from shared hosting is needed!

Have since upgraded hosting, with slight improvements to speed. Still room for improvement on the job board though…

Since the plugin update, the categories are no longer in order of name. Played around with <?php wp_list_cats(‘sort_column=name’); ?> to job-filters.php but no change – any suggestions?
