    Hello,

for searching for a league and matchmaking plugin (virtual sports gaming, esl), so i found your side with the sportspress-plugin. I have installed the sportspress plugin and have checked something.

There are some option that i miss or i havent found. At electronic sports (virtual, like counter strike or something else) there are different team-players and maps, that would be played into a match.

At my old side-script (clansphere): I can create a match at example myteam versus red team (1vs1 or 2vs2 or 3vs3 or 4vs4 or 5vs5). At myteam are 20 registered players and now if the match is created some of these registered players (5vs5) maximum 5 players can join/leave into this match-myteam. 2-4hours before start the match, the join and leave option is disabled, so these joined players must play the match. At the red team the players must be set manually.

    Example of a match:
myteam versus red team (myteam choose map dust)
    counterterrorist versus terrorist score (9:1)
    terrorist versus counterterrorist score (8:2)
red team versus myteam (red team choose map office)
    counterterrorist versus terrorist score (10:0)
    terrorist versus counterterrorist score (8:2)
result myteam vs red team: 19:21

I know this is very hard to understand, but have a look at the esl.

So there is no real address to play, there are virtual maps. I have one more Team (clash) with 50 members. And sometimes there are 35 or less or more members joined at the match. And they play only one map.

So my question, is there any plugin for your sportspress like teamwars “virtual gaming” or is it possible to create such a plugin? Costs?

    best regards,
    Michael

    Hi Michael!

    Thanks for your message.

We do have a CS:GO preset, but maybe I’m missing your point. What exactly isn’t working for you? Maybe it’s just the way you are adding your events that needs to be adjusted.

    Thanks!

    Hi,

    thanks for feedback.
Ok lets talk about the missing points.

At esport-scene there are clans, different clans with many teams called squads yes on different games like cs:go, lol, dota and so on. So I can create a team “myteam”, yes this works at sportspress.

At esports there are no players at this team. So now the registered user at this point the wordpress-user can send a comprehensive application to this team, lets call this a master-team. The admin “esports: squad-leader” check this application from the user and gives a go or no go! With a go, the player are inside this master-team. So this master-team “myteam” grows.

    Do you have this function?

So at esport there is a gaming and squad scene like:
    [clantag] squadname // description
    Example:
[sportspress] oldschool // CS:Go Player 40years and above
[sportspress] ProTeam // CS-Go ESL Gaming Team

This is one more point for esports.

    So, lets start a match:
    playing date/time: 18. Novembre 2017 18.00 o’clock
Team: [clantag] myteam versus [sportspress] ProTeam
virtual map choose team myteam: de_dust.jpg (upload map)
virtual map choose team sportspress: cs_office.jpg (upload map)
    Players: 5 vs 5
    Server-IP: xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx
password if needed: sportspress (only the joined players see the pw)
stop time for join and leave at hours: 4

    Do sportspress can handle this?

So there are two empty match-teams.
Now maximum 5 players from the [clantag] myteam can join into the [clantag] myteam at this match. At the other team [sportspress] ProTeam, if users from the opponent-website (also your website) are registered at my website, so the users can do a application to the master-team [sportspress] ProTeam and than join/leave into the match [sportspress] ProTeam.

Normally the opponent players dont register at other websites “BUT: if they do more matches or friendship matches they join”. If not registered these known players “nicknames” get added by hand/manual. And 4 hours “time is variable” before start the match, the join/leave option is disabled, so these players must play!

Welcome to esports, do sportspress have this function? or a esports plugin?

    Example Pictures from a clanscript?
    https://abc-gamers.de/killme/A1.jpg
    https://abc-gamers.de/killme/A2.jpg
    https://abc-gamers.de/killme/A3.jpg (add players Manual)

    own old php clanscript plugin:
    https://abc-gamers.de/killme/csp_mm2009.jpg

i have told the same to j**msp**rt they have told me that they have a esport plugin but some options are missing, so perhaps you have also a esport plugin and perhaps need to cooperate with a booking-plugin to realize the join/leave option? Or do you have a esport plugin that can do this?

    best regards,
    Michael

    Sorry something forgotten,

i have also a raid team, dont ask that should be too much to explain ??

I would create a master-team with [clan-tag] teamname “[sportspress] raidrush” now it should be also possible that the registered wordpress-user can send to this masterteam a application. Now the Admin or teamleader can give to the application a go or no go. If there is a go => user are inside this team.

Now a little special, this team should be open for 50+ users.

At a match, same as above, mostly is played one map, at example:
    So, lets start a match:

    playing date/time: 20. Novembre 2017 20.00 o’clock
    [sportspress] raidrush versus [rift] Masterpiece
    virtual map: rift.jpg (upload map)
    Players: 50 vs AI(Bots)
    Server-IP Location: xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx
password if needed: raidrush (only the joined players see the pw)
stop time for join and leave at hours: 4

I think also this option is not released at the standard sportspress

    1. create clantag “[sportspress]”
    2. create masterteam “teamname”
    3. wordpress user do a application to the masterteam
    4. admin (teamleader) give a “go/no go” to the application from the user
    5. create a match and let the users from the masterteam join/leave this match “team”
    6. players: 1vs1 to 5vs5 or raid unknown users against AI example 35 vs AI, 50 vs AI…
    7. stop time for join/leave.
    8. upload played maps and upload screenshots, okay can be done at the editor, but there is no template with score / description, see attached picture links above.

yes that is hard to explain, if there are no esport-knowledge.

    best regards,
    Michael

if you think you can realize them or have such a plugin, tell me the costs, thanks a lot.

    Hi!

    Thanks for the clarification.

The team sign up and management would require some custom code. You can use a plugin such as ACF or Gravity forms to help you out with that.

As for the map selection, IP sharing and password, you can use SportsPress to store this information. The main part would be changing a venue into a map, but that can be done (if you simply ignore the address part and use just the name).

The password can be stored as a custom field available only in the wp-admin side. Another idea is using a plugin such as Ultimate Member to restrict access to the password field only to logged in users

Regarding the joining and matchmaking, that requires some custom code. Our plugin allows team managers to add their roasters, so once again you’ll need something similar to ACF or Gravity to handle the submissions. Also you may need some custom code to polish it, for example to make the submission unavailable X hours before the event.

Now as for the raid-type, you cna actually set up your events to have as many players as you want to. So if it’s 5 or 50, you can manage that with SportsPress. The main issue are the other parts, the player application / approval, match locking, PW hiding and so on.

    Thanks!

    Hello,

So if i read your answer, your sportspress can not manage a real esports-clan. And there is no costs telling to realize them with your sportspress or a sportspress-plugin. I have now a offer from ********** and i think if you cant realize them i would take the offer, because they want to do all, so i dont must experimentalise with other plugins. One Plugin that can do all, is the best / Everything from one source.

in Germany we say: Too many cooks spoil the broth.

    Hi Michael!

We don’t do custom code, nor we are authorized to add bids in a support ticket (WP forum rules).

But if you’ve found another plugin, that’s amazing, go for it! Unfortunately, we don’t have all these features at the moment, and they aren’t in our top requests at the moment.

    Thanks!
