Good Afternoon one of the problems I’m having is the join tabs for the groups are not working and members can select a group to join on their own. I have yo manual select their groups for them. After reading details on this plug-in stated that members can select their own group from the (All GROUPS) page. I have install everything else and edit for my website. But the only thing I can do is let members join groups after they have created their profile. Can you help me with the problem? my website is https://www.coachrecruitme.com

    Hello @coachwhidby!

Thank you for your interest in ProfileGrid. The way the plugin is configured to work, it allows visitors on your site to choose a group and register for it. By visitors I mean those who haven’t registered already. From your message it appears you want existing registered and logged in members to change their groups. Well, that feature is not available yet and best way to do would be to change groups from admin area.

We are in process of rolling out paid groups – which means you can charge visitors differently based on the group they want to join while filling out the group’s sign up form. That’s the reason we need a little more time before group hopping algorithm is ready for production use. But its definitely coming soon.

If I did not understood your question, do let me know. Always happy to answer your questions.

Thank you for replying back maybe I’m not understanding how to put this plugin together. On the main page were you can click on the group you want to join. There is no “Join Now” tab there just a free text. After looking at you screenshot on your main page. It shows that a member can join now tab to register for the group. Do you have any video to show how to install the plugin completely on WordPress? ProfileGrit is a plugin for my project creating a database for members in a group. I have created eight sports group for members to join.

    Thanks,

Thank you for reporting the ‘No Join Now tab’ issue. We will fix this issue in today release. We are still working on documentation – sorry, don’t have a video yet. We will soon launch documentation on our site.

Thanks for replying back there are a few things that I think may not be working as well. After you click on the “join button” for the groups that you want to join it doesn’t let you enroll for the group. Thanks for fixing the “join now button” but I did try to input the shortcodes on new pages on my website to see if I could let you enroll into the groups that you select.. But as the page started logging up it sent you back to join now the page that you guys fix a few days ago so. My next questions are on General main page of your plugin is there a better way to create a template for your groups? The reason I ask is because this is the messages that are showed (You can create new templates by copying and renaming “default” folder () inside “[plugin root]/public/partials/themes” to “[your current theme directory]/profilegrid-user-profiles-groups-and-communities/themes”.) So if I have this right this means that I would need to login into my c-panel trying to create new templates for each group? One for every group that I’m will have on the website? And will these template folders save all the data for each group member as well in their groups? Just want to understand the features so I’ll know it this plugin is a great fix for my program. Thanks
