Paid Themes are just not possible to fully support with jonradio Multiple Themes, especially over the long term. Even if it works today, a new version of the Theme could include features that interfere with my plugin. At that point, without access to the Theme (I cannot afford to pay for Themes for testing, and local law and my professional certification prevent me from violating copyright law), I couldn’t fix my plugin. And I’m now seeing a few Themes, both Paid and Free, that include features that include hundreds of hooks into WordPress that make it totally impractical for my plugin to compensate for.
You are free to try it, realizing that it might stop working in the future.
A much more reliable solution that several people who have contacted me have used and been happy with, is to use a WordPress Network (Multisite) with subfolders for sites. And have one Theme per site. That eliminates the need for my plugin.
Here is how it could work for you:
- Main Site is domain.com with TwentyFourteen
- Second Site is domain.com/joblistings with JobRoller
As I say, this solution has worked really well for other people, even for those who have not previously used a WordPress Network.
