Please help me better understand joomla DB export and import if servers are different.
    In FAQ section it says:

*export the Joomla database to a SQL file (with phpMyAdmin for example)
*import this SQL file on the same database as WordPress
*run the migration by using WordPress database credentials (host, user, password, database) instead of the Joomla ones in the plugin settings.

Not sure if I get it right, but seems to me like in the second line bold text should read:
    on the same server

If I am wrong and import of the joola exported SQL should be done “on the same database as wordpress ” :
** does it mean I need
    >> to import it to a DB of an installed WP blog
    >>than run migration from the plugin installed on the same blog, using DB credentials etc. of the same blog’s database ?

Sorry if this sounds like a dumb question, but I am just not sure what to do.
Any help would be much appreciated,
    thank you

You can do both: on the same database (as WordPress) or on a different database on the same server as WordPress. On the same database is easier because you don’t have to create another database.
The important thing is that WordPress must have access to this database.
In both cases, you must fill in the right information: database host, database name, database user and database login.
