Im having this issue, the plugin says ALL CLEAR in the check, i have enabled debug on output and this is what im getting, any ideas ?

I can confirm it is not the server because i have multiple sites running and they work fine when optimizing.

First, thanks for starting a new thread. Next, can you expand the Plugin Status section, and post a screenshot of that please?

Can you post the debugging info from the bottom of the settings screen also?

    (@menkom)

I dont see this information, can you show me what it looks like ?

If you have debugging turned on, just scroll down until you see the yellow section under the EWWW IO settings.

Are you referring to WP_DEBUG in wp-config or debug checkbox in the plugin settings ?

Ok i see what you mean here is the screenshot.

Well, you were right. I didn’t see it on the first debugging you posted, but the one from the settings screen clearly shows that exec() is disabled on that site in the disable_functions settings. So you DID have the same problem as the other user (still always best to start your own thread, helps me keep track of everyone asking for help better).
I’m guessing that perhaps you have a custom php.ini for the website in question, so you may just need to edit that. At any rate, if you need help enabling it, check with your webhost for guidance. They would be the best resource for how your server is configured.

Ok great, i checked and i saw no custom php.ini file, however i have forwarded your comments to host to see what they find. I will get back to you.

Hello, i dont know what my host has done, they did something and now i see the following error message on the top of ewww

I told them to revert back to normal settings and they said they have, but i still see this error.

    Here is the latest debug

If you updated EWWW, then you are getting the appropriate error message that should have been showing the whole time. You’ll need to ask them how to re-enable exec() on that site.

    Thread Starter Mitch Menghi

    (@menkom)

Well thats the strange thing i never did get this error until the host made some modifications after you mentioned exec() was not enabled, if you look at earlier screenshots you will see the error did not exist, it does not however.

I will see if there is another way to confirm exec() is running.

What I’m trying to tell you is that the problem was there the whole time, but the plugin had a bug where it was not being shown which I fixed in 2.4.2. Your debug log confirms that exec is in the disable_functions setting, and it outputs the raw value that php reports. Pretty hard to be wrong about that.

Looks like all working now i can see compression taking place and also the error message is gone. Thanks for your advice 5 star plugin ??
