I’m actually having the same problem and it started at about the same time..

Is the ‘URL’ your domain, i.e., https://yoursite.com ? Does it have a WWW or not a WWW? (Is DNS record for WWW setup?)

Can you also provide site links?

https://www.grit-studios.net is my domain. The only thing I changed when this started was I installed a theme and switched to it to see what it looked like. Once I switched back this error is always there.

My DNS settings are without the www. at the beginning. Sorry if I sound dumb I’m pretty new to some of this stuff.

I went to general settings and changed WordPress address to “https://timmckitterick.com” where it was previously “https://www.timmckitterick.com”

not sure how switching servers messed that up or why it created an error, but it appears fixed now, so thanks!

I’ve done the exact same thing as him but in reverse then switched it back and it fixed it. very odd but the problem is resolved.

Has my sight been hacked?

onefortynine how did you solve that issue? I just did the same thing and now I can’t log in!

if you made the same mistake as i did – removed the www and not the “.”, ie. you named it https://.mysite.com, then you will need to go into phpMyAdmin in your hosting control panel.
in there, select the correct database for your site and click on the wp_options table. you will see the option to edit 3 or 4 lines down.

I suppose its a relief that someone else is having the same issue as I am. I am seeing the “The requested URL /jquery-1.6.3.min.js was not found on this server.” as well as the “https://www.4llw4d.freefilesblog.com” URL being displayed under the error message on the site.

My initial thought was that it got hacked.

I followed the suggestion by @onefortynine and updated the URL with www. in my WP Dashboard settings. That didn’t seem to resolve the problem. In an audit of MyPHP, it appears that the site is correctly references with the www. in the wp_options table.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but are you suggesting I change the database setting to remove the www? Or make sure that it includes this to match the WP Dashboard General Settings?
