I’m having an issue with the approval button staying on “Saving”. It appears to be a jquery issue as chrome throws the following error:

Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 404 (Not Found)
    POST https://www.pdxwraps.com/dev1337/wp-content/plugins/design-approval-system/t…lates/slickremix/form-processes/new-approved-digital-signature-process.php 404 (Not Found) jquery.js?ver=1.8:4

    Test site: https://www.pdxwraps.com/dev1337/designs/3csmqrzf/

I can’t mess with plugins on the live site to figure out where the conflict is, so if there’s a way to fix this from functions or the plugin itself that would be best.

Thanks for contacting us. I can’t seem to recreate the problem on my end.

What about the send email button, does it do the same thing?

It is sending the email it’s not closing the form and sending info to database, from what I can tell. Are you seeing saved information in the backend of post under the approved tab?

Is it also possible you have a rewrite rule or something in your htaccess file?

Also are you using the SMTP option or just regular sendmail in the settings page?

And if you are using the SMTP did you get a confirmation of it working?

The send email button doesn’t do anything visually but does send an email. It also throws that error. I have the setting that doesn’t require a login.

I am using the SMTP option and am getting all the confirmation emails.

I checked requiring login but it does the same thing. Not sure why you can’t reproduce the problem since it gets stuck on “saving…” on chrome and internet explorer for me.

I’m going to try using my dev server to disable all the other plugins and see if I can find the conflicting one.

Okay I disabled all other plugins and am having the same problem:

By the way, that error only shows up in the console in chrome (ctrl+shift+j).

Gotcha. Try not using smtp and see if that works. It could be something is not quite right with smtp.

    (@chrisvallely)

Okay, I just tried it without SMTP and it still didn’t work. I tried unchecking to require login and created a test user, all with the same results. I also tried switching to twenty-fourteen theme with no luck. Anything else I could try?

Also I tried checking the file that seems to be having the issue:
    https://www.pdxwraps.com/dev1337/wp-content/plugins/design-approval-system/templates/slickremix/form-processes/new-approved-digital-signature-process.php
    and it prints:
Invalid address: Invalid address: Invalid address:

    not sure if that helps?

I’ve encountered this problem once before and it has something to do with the hosting not allowing the php to return the success message. I’m at a loss as to how we can fix this issue without digging into you site and server serup. Who are you hsting with?

Yeah we have never dealt with that hosting company before.

The best I can offer at this point is to suggest you contact your hosting company and explain the issue you are having to a technical person. I’ll bet they can suggest something or fix the problem. Please let us know how it goes.

We are about to push an update to 4.0.5 that we believe will fix the issue you noted above. Let us know if that fixes things.

Any luck or did you move on to something else?
