• BTW – I checked these out in Windows 7/IE 8 and had no problem whatsoever. However, Mac OS X / Firefox / Safari & Windows FF all broken. Glad I have a IE to fix the incidental problem.

In the admin area. In a post or page edit screen and probably others.

When clicking to edit the permalink area (right below the page title field). I am unable to get a field to “open” for editing. I am using permalinks. (custom –> /%POSTNAME%/)

Additionally, I am unable to modify the published state (and other options there) as no option “slides” open for me to edit. I click on edit and no effect occurs that presents option to change the setting.

In the widgets area. I am unable to drag an element to the 2nd sidebar area. I can drag to the 1st sidebar area.

I have multiple WP installs/domains. I have tested on older installs previous to 2.9.2 and they work. I had one domain that was working just fine. I upgraded to to 2.9.2 and now the editing features noted do not function correctly.

In FF I get the following in the error console:

Error: uncaught exception: [Exception... "Could not convert JavaScript argument arg 0 [nsIDOMViewCSS.getComputedStyle]" nsresult: "0x80570009 (NS_ERROR_XPC_BAD_CONVERT_JS)" location: "JS frame :: https://mydomain.com/wp-admin/load-scripts.php?c=1&load=jquery,utils,editor,quicktags,swfobject&ver=af85160949f779d67a6a76a8c03f3961 :: anonymous :: line 12" data: no]

    Help – Any ideas?

    Thx, Rick

  • No ideas, but I have the exact same issues with Firefox and it only works in IE.

    Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem? If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems?
