    Hi Steven,

First of all thank you very much for a great plugin – we use it on several sites.

However, we have an issue with the new version 2.0.9.

If we update (from 2.0.6 to 2.0.9) we get the following error:

    We are running:

    WP core version: 4.5
    jQuery version: 1.11.2

What could be the issue? A jQuery incompatability. It seem to be related to using “?” in headings.

    Thanks!

    RE: WP core version: 4.5

Sorry, but ezTOC does not support such old versions of WP.

    Hi Steven,

    Thanks for the fast reply.

What jQuery version would you recommend for ezTOC 2.0.9? We should be able to change easily.

    Thanks!

My dev site is using jQuery v1.12.4 and jQuery Migrate v1.4.1 so if jQuery is the issue, then perhaps that will work for you.

Another option, try displaying smooth scroll on the ezTOC Settings admin page. In theory, if that is disabled, then that section of code will not run and you should not get an error.

    Hi Steven,

Ah i just saw that i wrote wp 4.5…we are using 5.4…sorry.

    Still the same jquery version.

When updating to 2. 0.9 we get the Error as described.

    Any ideas?

I will try disabeling smooth scrool.

Perhaps the root source of the issue is that (index):249 in the error call stack. That should not exist.

    Hi Steven,

I have looked more into this, and it turns out that we for some reason got leftover code from the plugin in one of our template-files.

When removing this code, everything works fine.

    Thank you for your time!

Great to hear you found the solution!
