When I try to set up the firewall I get this error that repeats over and over several times per seocond. It gets into the thousands of instances before I leave the page. The error in the inspector is:

jquery.js:4 Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property ‘strokeDashoffset’ of undefined

Any idea what I should check?

  • Hey @sangfroidweb,

It sounds like there might be a conflict either with the theme or one of the plugins you’re using, could you try temporarily switching to a default theme if you’re not already using one and disabling all other plugins then reactivating them one by one to see if the issue persists?

To do so I recommend the Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin which allows you to disable all plugins and switch to a default theme, but only for your user.

    Thanks,

    Gerroald,
I just found another user with the same issue and have submitted my notes on their thread. It looks like she’s having the same issue:

    https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/blank-window-for-firewall-optimization-instructions-on-new-siteground-site/#post-11971493

She’s also on Siteground hosting. In that thread she mentions she tried 2019 theme with no other plugins and still go the error. In any case, since her thread has a longer history and more info, I’ll mark this as resolved and just contribute in her thread instead.

Hi There I am am having exactly the same issue on three siteground hosted accounts. I have tried it with every plugin disabled and the 2019 theme activated. Ant ideas?

    Thanks

    Guy Hodgson
