  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Ten theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

I have tried your recommendations, and nothing has changed.

Actually, one thing has changed, the number of errors which has gone down (progress !! ). Here is what I get now…

    Webpage error details

    User Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 8.0; Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; Trident/4.0; SLCC2; .NET CLR 2.0.50727; .NET CLR 3.5.30729; .NET CLR 3.0.30729; Media Center PC 6.0; InfoPath.3)

Now try re-uploading the wp-admin and wp-includes folders from a fresh download of WordPress.

Done, but no change. Error messages remain the same as my last post. I am REALLY appreciating your prompt help, if there is anything else you can think of, please let me know.
    Thanks again,
    Gene

Try adding define('CONCATENATE_SCRIPTS', false ); to the bottom of your wp-config.php file (just before the require_once line).

I feel REALLY BAD, because you are trying hard to help me, but this one doesn’t see to help either.

I’m not seeing any jQuery errors in IE9 – although I can see this at the bottom of the page:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function simplehitcounter_hit() in /homepages/27/d238118477/htdocs/wordpress/wp-content/themes/indore/footer.php on line 27

I got rid of the simplecounter script in the footer.php, but didn’t do anything. Why would there be jQuery errors in IE8 but not IE9? In Firefox, there are no errors either, but my issue with Flickr Manager plugin still exists ie. no highslide functionality, links direct to Flickr site. Funny thing is too, if I deactivate the Flickr Manager plugin, the jQuery errors still come up. Very frustrating.

Why would there be jQuery errors in IE8 but not IE9?

The most common cause is a plugin or theme that’s using slightly old javascript.
