jQuery file is not getting deferred
-
Update: I updated my review from 1 star to 4 since I was able to find a better order of settings in combination with my stackpath CDN that allowed me to reduce the page speed and increase both my yslow and page speed scores.
To me it still needs a little work since 4.5 was the lowest I got with a page size of only 1.43MB. I think at this size I should be able to hit the 3 second mark but I am not.

Not getting the results I am looking for. It helps a bit but not what I expected. The Async plugin is where I am having the biggest trouble. That one is worse, jquery isn’t getting deferred.
I guess this is where I leave a review for both the autoptimize and async/defer autoptimize plugin. So I will add the second plugin review below.
I am trying to make this plugin work but I have to say that I am not happy with it.
jQuery file isn’t getting deferred no matter what I do, I might as well manually do it and get rid of this plugin.
I was stoked when I first installed it thinking it would help but it’s done nothing to defer my jquery file. Maybe I’m doing something wrong but when I test it in GTMetrix, it still shows. I give it 1 star because it’s already wasted a lot of time and time is precious.
