jQuery.fn.hover() is deprecated

Hi, im in the process of cleaning up all jquery issues especially those that are deprecated and eventfully will just stop working on various browsers.
In our log files and console we are seeing this issue/warning and was wondering if there was a fix for this?
jQuery.fn.hover() is deprecated Plugin: Weather Atlas Widget https://test.test.com/wp-content/plugins/weather-atlas/admin/js/weather-atlas-admin.min.js https://test.test.com/wp-admin/tools.php?page=jqmh&tab=logs
note domain has been removed for security purposes..
