    Hi, love the plugin but using jquery means a whole bunch of code gets loaded that isn’t needed. A lot of plugin makers are making their plugins leaner by manually coding the javascript needed and this is that last plugin on my site that uses jquery.

    It would be really appreciated if you’d consider removing it altogether – though I know it’s a good amount of work.

    Hi @outdoorsdev1,

    WordPress Popular Posts dropped the jQuery dependency back in May 2018 (see version 4.1.0 changelog). At least on the frontend side of things, it does still use it on the backend.

    If you’re using version 4.0.13 or older then please upgrade to the latest version.
