    Relative WP newbie here. I imported a bunch of posts from a separate blog using tools > import.

    I love the plugin, jquery-smooth-scroll. Very cool plugin, user-friendly, simple.

    But after I imported the posts, some things stopped working — including smooth-scroll.

    But I think it’s a theme thing, and the theme I’m currently using is flexibility3 — which I don’t recommend unless you want to spend hours hacking through files, which I’ve done. When I switch to a 2011 or 2012 theme, the smooth-scroll (as well as a another contact jquery-based plugin) work. Pretty much what you see on her website is all hard-coded things by me.

    In the 2011 or 2012 theme, I have the html output:

    Top

    But with this theme, I don’t see this in my html output. I also don’t see the simple contact form that’s supposed to be a pop-up at the bottom of the screen in my output.

    If necessary, you can view the blog that’s having these issues.

    Does anybody have any ideas as to what might be causing this, and how to fix it and get this scroll-to-top working again? Thanks for any guidance anybody can offer!

    Jason

    Hi Orbitbob.

    When in your wp-admin, go to Appearance >> Editor >> Footer.php

    I had removed the line:

    <?php wp_footer(); ?>

    Simply putting this line before the closing </body> tag resolved my problem. If you removed it due to some obfuscated code that you didn’t want there, let me know and I’ll put the original code there so it’s not obfuscated … especially if you’re using Flexibility3.
