I am having trouble getting a plugin to work on this theme and have been told by the plugin developer that this could be down to the version of JQuery being out of date.

I have installed another plugin to update the site to the latest version however think there may be something in the code of this plugin preventing it from updating to the latest.

Is there anything restrictive within the theme which can be changed to allow the site to update to the latest version of JQuery?

The line in question is – ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.4.2/jquery.min.js?ver=1.4.2 (from the site header section)

The plugin I am trying to get to work is – https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/my-plugin-stopped-working-after-update?replies=5

The website to which this refers is – https://www.tropicalfishsite.com/

    Thanks!

Try uploading the updated version of the JQuery plugin to your computer first, then uninstall the older version of the plugin that you have on your site. Then upload the downloaded file from your computer to the backend of your site. This will allow you to manually update the plugin, since it doesn’t seem the auto update feature is working. If you still have an issue with this, let us know. Hope this helps!
