JS combine issue – et_core_api_spam_recaptcha is not defined

    Hi,
    I think the issue with Combine JS and recaptcha as seen here https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/contact-form-7-recaptcha-issue-2/ is back with the latest version of Divi.
    (LiteSpeed version 2.9.9.2)

    As part of the new version (version 4.0.7 ( updated 11-26-2019 )) they introduced “- Improved spam protection for the Contact Form and Email Optin modules with Google reCAPTCHA v3.”

    I’m seeing the following error in the console:
    Uncaught ReferenceError: et_core_api_spam_recaptcha is not defined
    at bf80b.js:172
    at bf80b.js:173

    Previously i’ve added /recaptcha/api.js to the excludes list. I’ve asked Elegant Theme support for the reference to the script to exclude but they simply say clear your cache, try again and contact the cache plugin developers!! (Their support has gone down hill massively over the last few years).

    Is this something you can assist with?

    Hi @marky-mark, could you please provide?your Report Number, found in?WP Admin > LiteSpeed Cache > Report and keep the error on the site, we will check on it.

    Hi,

    So to confirm , if you disable JS combine , will the error be gone ?

    and if you put “wp-content” into JS exclude , I assume the error should be gone as well , right ?

    I’ve just found this thread as I am experiencing exactly the same error message on my DIVI site’s contact page. The form has stopped working and just won’t send at all.

    Any help would be most appreciated.

    That’s correct.
    Disable JS combine = No error
    wp-content in JS exclude = no error

    Hi @marky-mark, could you try to put recaptcha.js to the excludes list and let us do the further checking?

    Adding that line in has got rid of the error in the console
