    Steps to reproduce:
    1) Add New
    2) Check ‘Do not send email (only collect signatures)’
    3) Fill in remaining fields
    4) Click ‘Create Petition’
    5) Notice the error message ‘Error: Please correct the highlighted fields.’
    6) Uncheck ‘Do not send email (only collect signatures)’
    7) Notice the highlighted field is ‘CC Email’

    Thanks for reporting. The CC field is new in this release so I must have something a bit wonky. I will get to it ASAP.

    Yes, curious as to why you didn’t opt for registering custom post type and using WordPress post edit screen but rather went a custom route instead.

    I didn’t create the plugin. It was useful and needed work but had been abandoned, so I forked it and have made significant improvements on what was already there.

    Found it. Fixed in 1.12.1

    There were a couple of logic errors, most important one was that the error was thrown if the field was empty, which it obviously is if only collecting signatures.
