JSON as source

I tried to use an old JSON controller from here:
https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/plugin-verite-timeline-getting-wordpress-posts-into-timeline?replies=50#post-2790812But I cannot get the timeline to load if I specify the source like this:
https://www.domain.com/api/timeline/category_posts/?post_type=timeline&main_post_id=143The old timelineJS works but the latest one appended &callback=onJSONP_Data at the end of the URL and failed to load the timeline.
