    Hi
Today i have updated my woocommerce to latest version.
After that whenever i try to checkout with Paypal express it throws error “SyntaxError: JSON.parse: unexpected character at line 1 column 1 of the JSON data”.
I have virtual product with variations.
Other payment gateway is working fine.

Can you please look on it?
Please let me know any help or data required.

    Thanks in advance.

Ah, yes, I’m sorry. 3D Secure does have some known issues in it right now.

We’ve actually made some adjustments to get it fixed in this issue branch on GitHub. It’s proving difficult for us to fully test it, though.

If you’d like to help with that it would be great. You can download that version of the plugin and see if it works any better for you.

I would love to help with testing because i have an active 3D Secure account. I was looking through the 3D Secure code for the old version and was comparing it to the new one and wasnt seeing any differences.

You can see the specific code commits here: https://github.com/angelleye/paypal-woocommerce/issues/149

Ok great, now when not enrolled, it does what is is supposed to but when enrolled, it redirects to a couple different locations then i get

    -1

Hmmm…those -1’s are tough to troubleshoot sometimes. Looks like we’re going to need to do some studying to figure out how to test this on our end. I’m pretty sure they have a way to setup a test account of some sort, but my developer was struggling to get that figured. I’ll look into it and see if I can figure out here soon.

We’re about to release the 1.2 update, which is a big one. Then I’ll probably look to fix 3dsecure in a 1.2.1 follow up.

Ok, i will see if i can troubleshoot and see where this error is coming from.

On my 3D Secure account when i test a card, it shows all the details, amount, card info and Enrollment Status ‘Y’ it doesent redirect to enter the verification details.

i have 2 images i want to send u. 1 is a successful 3D Secure authentication and the other is where it gives the -1. I have the 3D Secure transaction details.

I’m confused. Is it working sometimes through the plugin and other times not, or did you pull the working one from somewhere else?

    shappyking

    (@shappyking)

The working one was your old 3D secure script before i updated woocommerce. The failed one is the new update where i get the

    -1

    error

    Plugin Contributor angelleye

    (@angelleye)

Ok, now I’m even more confused. Which version is it exactly that is working for you? And in that version are you able to get all the way through a checkout with 3dsecure?

    shappyking

    (@shappyking)

Version: 1.1.6.2 with woocommerce 4.3 took me all the way but none of the versions with woocommerce 4.4 takes me all the way. go that?

    Plugin Contributor angelleye

    (@angelleye)

Ok, that helps. Thanks for all the feedback. We’ll see if we can get this fixed in the 1.2 update, but it might have to wait for a 1.2.1 follow-up.

So whats your suggestion? Downgrade woocommerce?
