    Is there any particular reason why you gave the XML Sitemap & Google News feeds plugin a 1 star rating or are you just unhappy with WordPress in general?

    Besides, it’s not complicated at all. If you leave WordPress take care of the robots.txt requests (= if you do not have a static robots.txt file) then this plugin will add the sitemap reference automatically. No need for ‘adding a sitemap’ because every search engine will be able to find it on its own.
