    AIOS v5.13

I have a couple IP addresses – entered into the “Blacklist Manager”.

Comments are still coming in from one of the blocked ranges.

    ***

I have the Comments CAPTCHA option turned ON.

Visited my site in a Private Firefox window and left a couple test comments.

    No CAPTCHA appeared…

    Hi @kc_pix @bb321

    Sorry for inconvenience.

We do have found issue regarding IP blacklist rules are not in getting written htaccess when saved from Blacklist manager. and it has been solved and ready to release as AIOS 5.1.4.

Uptill that you can do one thing as tweak

Go to WP Security > Firewall > Enable basic firewall (enable / disable) firewall once.
It would write the Ip blacklist mangare rules to htaccess.

    Hi @kc_pix

Can you please cross check WP Security > Brute Force > Captcha Settings 1st tab
has “Default CAPTCHA:” not set to “No Captcha”. You should have Math captcha or Google captcha selected.

Let me know that is the case.

    Hi,

Thanks for the reply. Your suggestion was correct. The “Captcha Settings” on Brute Force – were not turned ON.

I recommend putting a Note on the “Spam Prevention/Comment” section – to Enable the function back on “Brute Force”.

Its operation is currently divided (and Linked) into two different sections… ??

    Who knew… ??

I went to WP Security > Firewall > Enable Basic

and turned it ON. Left it ON and Saved.

Your comment reads to turn it ON, then OFF.

    A procedural dilemma… ??

I have commented to turn it on then off to keep the same state.
but you may keep it on.
