Just a question

Greetings all. I have Joseph’s Journey and it runs in a sub directory of my domain Josephstory.org. Will this work and will google and bing and yahoo all read this when they come across this when they crawl my site from the root domain? That would be great if it is the case, otherwise, I guess a sitemap just for the wordpress blog probably would not be needed then.
