• Well I thought I knew what I was doing….I had the older verion of WordPress installed and had my domain up and running..www.banthisblog.com, when I went to the site today all I got was the “index of” page..thats it. I tried to go to “https://www.banthisblog.com/wp-admin/install.php” and I get

“The requested URL /wp-admin/install.php was not found on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.”

I just want to start over and get the new version of WordPress up, get some themes installed and just get my site going. I guess I am making this harder then it has to be. Anyone that will have mercy on me will be greatly appreciated. I dont think its a hosting issue, ANY suggestions?

  • can you be more specific about what the “index of” page is ? maybe a screen shot ?

are the wp-admin files there when you look using FTP ?

    He meant “directory index”.
