My hosting company just installed WP for me in my TexAbuse.com domain at a temporary location. When I go to that URL, I see what I guess is the home page for the 2024 theme. The heading says “Welcome to Tex Abuse” and “Sample Page.” When I go to the dashboard and try to edit that page, I can’t find it. I can find a page called “Sample Page,” but it’s a different page than the home page that’s displayed.

I’m not even sure that I’m asking a coherent question, but what I want to know is (1) what is being displayed as my home page and (2) where can I find it to edit it?

    Thanks for your help!

You use the TwentyTwentyFour theme, which provides its own template for the start page, so that you can create and design the start page individually.

If you are logged into the backend and then call up the frontend, you will see a black admin bar above it. Click on “Site Edit” there to edit the template for the start page.

If you have any further questions, I would recommend that you contact the TwentyTwentyFour support forum: https://www.ads-software.com/support/theme/twentytwentyfour/

Thanks, I’ll contact 2024 support, see what they think.

But while I have you here… You mention that the 2024 theme has its own template for the start page. Does that mean that some themes don’t? I installed the new 2025 theme, and that didn’t seem to have its own start page template. (But it’s always possible that I did something wrong.)

    Hello @hmishkoff ,

The sample page is your home page in by default WordPress setting and the WordPress sample is assigned as a home page. If you change the thing on the sample page it will be at the front of your website.
