just purchased–cant get galleries to display filmstrip

Hi there, I’ve recently installed my newly purchased pro gallery and for some reason I cant get it to show an album that links to galleries which are in filmstrip mode.
From a page I click on ‘nextGen Gallery’
Select Display type > Chose ‘NextGen Pro Thumbnail Grid’ (which is how I want it to display the gallery thumbnails)
What would you like to display? > Selected ‘albums’ and the chose the album I created with 4 galleries.
Customize the display settings > display galleries as ‘NextGen Pro Film’
Save > Update > view page
The galleries show up in the form of the NextGen Basic thumbnails template and when I click on a gallery it shows the gallery images as basic thumbnails here also.
What I want to have happen is the page should display the album I selected, which is the collection of galleries i assigned, and then each gallery should use the filmstrip template…
Any ideas? I am hosting with WP Engine. WordPress and the plugin version are both fully up to date.
