• After the 2.0.7 upgrade, everything went tupsy turvy on my site. I know it is frustrating but for now I believe that the only thing to do is rolling back to the old version. That’s what I did and I’m just here observing from the bleachers as a a fix unfolds.

This will take some time and complaining about it will not speed things up. I rolled back to my previous version which only takes less than 5 minutes via FTP. Business as usual, visitors and sponsors on my site happy.

I don’t mean to offend nobody, just a suggestion.

  • I’m having problems as well. But I can’t figure out where to download the previous version.

@tracibunkers: Here’s a link to our roll back guide, along with a link to the 1.9.13 version:

If you are trying to roll back to 2.0.0 or some other version, you can download any old version here:

    Hi,

I am agree. Roll back to the old version is a solution at this time while NexGen is fixing problems.

I just did but I have a problem: shortcode for album is not working.
I am using codes like this: [album id=61 template=extend]

But it’s blank on my page!

    Could you help me?

Thanks for the links photocrati! I went back to 2.0 and it solved the problem I was having (in my Shopp plugin–it caused my product thumbnails not to show on the admin side).

I’m still sitting on the sidelines – had problems with version 2.0 so rolled back…. I have too many images (16500+)in my nextgen gallery to have it down so waiting till most of the problems are solved.

I’ve had to rollback as well. Twice now, as even the 2.0.7 fix still leaves my site a mess. Hopefully it will get sorted soon.

I’ll take this que to hold off on updating

Just as an FYI, I upgraded to 2.0.14 and thought everything was working fine. Then I realized it was causing a different problem in my online shop (when I originally posted, it was causing a different problem with my online shopp, that uses the Shopp plugin).

When looking at categories in my shop, there is a list view and a grid view. It was causing the list view to only be as wide as 1 column in the grid view.

I rolled back to version 2.0, and the problem was still there. So I tried 1.9.13, and it fixed it.

I rolled back to 1.9.13, but now in “Manage Gallery” the sort option is no longer showing up. Any suggestions?

The 2.0.14 version is creating a shadowed lightbox behind my gallery display.

I’ve tried rolling back to 1.09.13, my previous version, but I get directory exists error. I can’t start over.

Any suggestions? Deleting and reinstalling is NOT an option. I have 100s of images for my jewelry already in place. I do not have time to re-upload and edit every image.

I’ve tried all of the various effects, and no matter what I choose, I get a darkened lightbox (sounds strange, but that’s what it is) underneath everything.

One of the options doesn’t stop at the end of the gallery but picks up images from the next one.

I can’t believe they released something that hasn’t been adequately tested. If I released software like this, I would get fired.

*We* are the beta testers, which is pretty common with Open Source software. Always have a test site on which to try out major updates like this (or at least a complete site backup). A clone of your live site is often the most useful.

Ironically, I was the one who started this thread. It took me some 11 hours (from my day off) and I estimate some 3 hours more today to move all my images to the native Add Media, Create Gallery. They (the pictures) don’t look bad at all.

Version 2.0.11 did created a memory hog site and 2.0.14 crashed the whole thing. I could have used that time to create contents instead of this but well, it was good while it lasted. I hate to see NGG go from my site but I had no choice.

    Good luck guys (and gals).

Since they have a PRO version for this plug-in that costs actual money, they should test better.

    Just saying.

2.0.14 crashed one of my sites, rolled back to 1.9.13 and everything is back up and running again.
The weird thing is that this site is completely similar to a number of other sites, where 2.0.14 is working fine. Same plugins, same themes, only difference is that there are no galleries yet.
