Just say no to Elementor and absolutely avoid ElementoPro
-
A client’s previous developer used ElementorPro and a bunch of plugins to allegedly enhance Elementor before that. While I have been able to strip most of the additional plugin function out of the site, it seemed time-smart to stick with ElementorPro. While it is not my primary page builder, I have worked dozens of sites that use Elementor and ElementoPro. What I haven’t had to do was access ElementorPro tech support or to download the “Pro” plugin.
Push forward, we have moved the site to a new host and as expected, the client was going to need his own ElementorPro license. No problem, he purchased the “Advanced” license and that is where Elementor can show what a huge failure the company can be.
The client never got an email verifying his account. I have the invoice, so I can see the purchase was made. I sit with him in his office as he tries to log in, but now is not getting the verification code on his email account. The site tells us to try again later. The next day, same issue, nothing changed.
Where this gets really stupid is that with every failure, Elementor’s site punts you to Customer Support that requires verification. In essences, every point of contact if you have paid for the premium service requires you to validate and if you can’t validate, you can’t get support. Instead you get put into a loop from hell.
Since the site does validate the username email and password, the client’s basic information is correct. Since we have the invoice and credit card, we have what is necessary to send the validation code to an alternate email address. Either that won’t work without initial validation or it just doesn’t work.
Basically no one is home at Elementor except for the cash register. We have a site that requires “Pro”, but there is no way to register or login to get the plugin and any login fail throws you into a loop.
Huge fail that centers on extremely poor tech support.
By the way, don’t bother with the Chatbot. If you answer one of the questions saying you are having issues with logging in, guess what? It sends you to loop around forever.
This company gets a big fat zero.
