• I used the Mojo Market Place one click installation of WordPress. I can see it in my file manager, but I’m not sure where to put it to make it show up as my home page. I know it should be “index.html” right?

    Few things to consider:

I previously created a page using just html, this page is my current homepage. I want to overwrite this with wordpress.

I am just starting my web development and wordpress journey, so any help and advice is GREATLY appreciated.

I have been trying for a few days now off and on. I would search and find the answer, but the thing is since I am new – I don’t really know the question I’m looking for the answer too, if that makes sense. So I came here to the forum, to see if you good people could get me on my way.

Thanks, and hopefully I will figure this out!

*edit: I can get to the login and the dashboard of WordPress, but when I click “view site” it says 404 error site temporarily unavailable. I tried also creating a new post, and then viewing the post – again “404 site unavailable”.

*edit#2: So what I am asking basically is how do I get my wordpress site up and running after installing it with the one click install? I can get to the dashboard, but it won’t show up on the client side. Sorry for the long post, I wanted to give as much detail as possible.

Also – are there any reccomended training articles, sites, etc someone could point me to?

    Update

I have contacted my hosting provider, and my account is being fully cleared out and restored to its original settings. This process they say will take about an hour.

Tomorrow, I will try the one click installation again. I am assuming that I will be 100% good to go and things will work out. I’m thinking in my click happy re arranging of the file view that I messed some things up. Lol ??

If anyone has any advice for me, good links to check out, general pointers, let me know!
