Hello! SO happy to have found this gallery. It’s my favorite thus far and most importantly works with my external lightbox. One thing- I’m having trouble loading Justified on mobile. It’s a blank page for me. Luckily the problem is remedied when I switch to masonry, but justified would be preferable. Any help would be appreciated.

  • Hello @etimager,

Thank you for your feedback, let me have a look ! Just in case, which mobile / browser are you using ?

    Hey Thomas,

It’s an older phone, iphone 5s with the older iOS 7.1.2….I also tested the gallery on a newer iphone, latest iOS and the Justified gallery shows, but as a single column of square images. In settings, I have the columns set to 3 and it shows perfectly on desktop, but I can’t get it right on mobile.

Thanks for your quick reply- I read in another post of yours that the plugin is going to be rebuilt? If possible, please make sure the external lightbox is kept in the new version- It’s a great feature, that is surprisingly hard to find.

    Thanks,
    Emily

I see, the fact that it switches to one column is actually made on purpose. It’s the responsiveness, I we were to display 3 columns on mobile phones, images would be way too small unfortunately.

Hmmm actually it must be an old post because we did this rework 2 months ago ?? Nothing is gonna change from now !

For your issue, it must be because we are now using only CSS to layout our galleries ( without Javascript ), the drawback is that it’s quite modern CSS and it might not be supported on old browsers. I will try to investigate more though.

    Best regards,
    Thomas

So relieved to hear that nothing is changing! I didn’t want to purchase the pro and have it reworked. And yes, the post was from a little over 2 months ago.

I actually prefer the single column on mobile. Good move. I’ve had gallery plugins retain multiple columns on mobile with resulting problems, so when I installed Meow I thought the single column was glitch on my device and needed to be fixed in order to accurately preview what clients are seeing. It makes sense that the new CSS does not work with an older browser, thanks for the explanation. For the time being, I’ll switch back to the Masonry layout since it’s still compatible.

    Thanks,
    Emily

In fact we are pretty happy with the current plugin, we will only push fixes / new layouts in the futur so don’t worry. Nothing already there today should become broken.

If you have other issues do not hesitate to open other tickets ??

Oh and by the way, if you enjoy the plugin, it would greatly help us if you could leave a review !

    Best regards,
    Thomas
