    Hi,

I’m trying to customize some parts of the Twenty Twenty Four theme. I’d like to justify the content of paragraphs in the Pages model, but the toolbar has no “justify” button :

I suppose I could override with custom css, but it doesn’t seem clean, and I figure there must be a less hacky way to do that. What am I missing ?

    Thanks in advance,
    Emmanuel

Hi @manumie ! If you’re not looking to write css, the next best option would be using a plugin like one of these:

    Sorry for the late reply.

I don’t mind writing a bit of css or js or php. I’m using a child theme based on Twenty Twenty Four.

I suppose the “justify” button is disabled somewhere in the parent theme, so I’d prefer find a way to re-enable it. Is this possible ?

Hi @manumie – the Justify content button has been removed because justified text on the web is a less-optimal reading experience. It’s a great option for print-design where the width of the page is fixed – but can result in poorer experiences on the web where people might be viewing on different size devices and the spacing between words (to enable justification) can be variable.

If you really want to use justified text – it is possible with CSS or a plugin – but it’s not enabled within the core experience, be design.

Thanks @jordesign for this precision. I’ll stick with the recommandation and do without justified text, then.
