    Hi,

I am currently trying to use Wpforms as my contact 7 forms were getting too much spam.

When I go add my wp form I get the following error “Heads up! WPForms has detected an issue with JavaScript on this page. JavaScript is required for this form to work properly, so this form may not work as expected. See our troubleshooting guide to learn more or contact support.”

I don’t have any plugin for optimizing or cache so I don’t believe it would be that. Can anyone help, please?

  • Hello,

I’m having the same issue with the message mentioned above.

I tried different directions to fix it, but no luck.

    Could you please help me?

Also, I have a few plugins installed—that I don’t know if are interfering with WPForms.

The list plug-ins installed on my website are:

    ?Async JavaScript
    ?Autoptimize
    ?Crafthemes Demo Import
    ?Google Analytics for WordPress MonsterInsights
    ?Insert Headers and Footers
    ?Lazy Load -Optimize Images
    ?Smush
    ?WP Fastest Cache
    ?WPForms Lite
    ?Yoast SEO

    My website theme is Astra.

Hey Brenda; I just did a quick test and the form loaded fine and I was able to send a message (from [email protected]) so maybe you succeeded in fixing things yourself, but it is certainly possible that AsyncJS and/ or Autoptimize and/ or WP Fastest Cache are interfering here.

    Some things to (re)consider;
    1. AsyncJS is deferring jQuery, this is likely to cause issues as you have inline JS that requires jQuery early, so it would be better to exclude jQuery from AsyncJS deferring
    2. you are using both Autoptimize & WP Fastest Cache to optimize CSS (& JS), this can cause issues as both are doing the same thing, consider disabling all CSS & JS options in WP Fastest Cache

    hope this helps,
    frank (autoptimize & asyncjs developer)

    Hey Frank,

Thank you so much for your response and help.

    Much appreciated,

    Brenda
