I have reciently installed the OpenID plugin for wordpress, and, when i added the openid field to my comment forms, it appears, and allows you to enter a name. However, upon attempts to submit a comment, it redirects to a “Please Wait” page, and then stops. My theme is K2.

  • you seem to have turned off the comment form stuff on your site, so I can’t test it. However, I’d imagine that it may be a problem with the OpenID provider you were using to comment with. Have you tried using different providers? Perhaps one of the larger ones like MyOpenID?

I was referring to the OpenID plugin

And i have the comment forum input disabled because this is a production site, and although i dont get many comments, i dont want to discourage anyone.

looks like you’re using K2’s ajax comments. That won’t work with the OpenID plugin. We discovered that some time ago, and I honestly had forgotten about it. I’ll see about adding it to the FAQ as a known limitation.

    Thanks, that solved it
