    I’ve been working on my homepage layout as part of setting up my website with a bought theme that uses the Kadence theme for some of its features. I couldn’t get back into my page, the other pages are fine, but the homepage isn’t loading and error message: There has been a critical error on this website. Please check your site admin email inbox for instructions. I used my host’s support service which told me the issue was caused by the Kadence Blocks plug in. If I deactivate I can get into my home page but obvs layout is messed up.

    actually the whole website is down if I activate the plugin but can edit except homepage.

    Please could you give me the error details? If it’s a critical error, WordPress will send an email notification to the website’s administrator. It looks like this – https://share.zight.com/8LuedlWk

    If you didn’t receive this, ask for a copy of your website’s PHP error log from your host. This is so we can trace down where the error happened.

    Also, try doing the following:

    1. Create a website backup. You may ask from your host support to help you with this too.
    2. Delete your current Kadence Blocks copy.
    3. Re-install and activate it again and see if the error will still happen.

    Hi there,

    Thanks for sending the error log.

    Can you try this?

    • Duplicate the home page
    • Make changes and save
    • See if the issue persists on the new duplicate
    • If it does, remove content block by block and see if removing a specific block fixes this
    • If it doesn’t, use the duplicate and trash the original
