When I attempt to activate the Kadence Importer pluging I get the following fatal error…

“Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.”
“Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING in /home/webultra/public_html/superwarriorart.co.uk/wp-content/plugins/kadence-importer/kadence-importer.php on line 39”

    Hi @funkadelica,
Sorry for the delay! Could you tell me what other plugins you have activated? What version of the theme are you using? Are you running the latest version of WordPress?

Hi, Thank you for the reply. I have Woocommerce and Kadence Toolkit installed, although these errors were happening before I installed Woocommerce. It’s also a new WordPress install 4.9.3.

Theme version 1.2.1, plugin version 2.03

Firstly, when I try to install/upload Kadence Importer zip file I get the following error:

“Are you sure you want to do this? Please try again”

I contacted my host provider and they made sure that the correct php.ini file was created, ie, increase upload limits, but still it was not possible to install the Kadence Importer zip file, so I unzipped the file and ftp’d the Kadence importer folder into the wordpress plugins folder, installing it that way, then I attempted to activate it in the wordpress/plugins dashboard, and that’s when I get the fatal error.

I informed my host provider but they advised me to contact the plugin developer.

    Thanks

Hey, can you make sure you are using php 5.4 or higher. You should really be using php7. I would suggest you just check with your host. If you were on a version of php that is like 8 years old then that could cause an issue.
