• My blog is titled “世論 What Japan Thinks”; in version 1.5 of WordPress, it would crash if I entered that title, so I instead used a title of “世論 What Japan Thinks”.

However, when I recently upgraded to v2.1, the installation process automatically converted the Unicode entities to kanji. All very good, but in quite a few places, including emailed comments (and MS Live search engine results) I get corrupted characters (mojibake) like this:

    [??–è?– What Japan Thinks] Comment:…

I don’t want to drop the kanji, so I think this needs to be fixed.

I might find a workaround through literal text in OptimalTitle for the time being.
