• Hi guys,
    Every day I keep getting an error message for a few hours. It goes:

    Fatal error: Cannot call overloaded function for non-object in /home/russhowe/public_html/RussHowePTI.com/wp-includes/user.php on line 217

    I’m not really sure what is causing this or how to get rid of it…

    Any help appreciated!
    Russ

  • Can you replicate the problem using the default Twenty Thirteen theme with all plugins deactivated?

    Not sure, as my site is totally down at the moment with this error message on it.

    I logged in through cpanel, file manager and had a look at the line of text which the error message says is the problem and this is the line:

    $user = wp_get_current_user();

    Not really sure whether that’s right or wrong to be honest.

    Try:
    – switching to the default theme by renaming your current theme’s folder inside wp-content/themes and adding “-old” to the end of the folder name using FTP or whatever file management application your host provides.

    resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin.
