Keep getting Email sending error

    Hello,
    I have been using this plugin for a long time without any issues. However since 2 days ago I am getting a warning message that the “Last email could not be sent”. I thought it might be a conflict with some other plugins that I used such as Cleantalk or Wordfence, but deactivating them did not solve the issue. Sometimes if I clear the cache, the error goes away and I am able to send a test email successfully. But not always. The error that is shown in the Event Log is “An error occurred when trying to get Gmail aliases: cURL error 7: Failed to connect to gmail.googleapis.com port 443: Connection refused (see https://curl.haxx.se/libcurl/c/libcurl-errors.html)”
    This error alternates with the following one “Mailer: Gmail cURL error 7: Failed to connect to gmail.googleapis.com port 443: Connection refused (see https://curl.haxx.se/libcurl/c/libcurl-errors.html)”
    How to resolve this? Thank You.

    The curl error 7 generally indicates that curl request is blocked by some firewall or similar thing, or curl is outdated on your server. Please contact your webhost provider with the same error and they’ll be able to sort.
