Keep getting locked out of site

  • I keep getting locked out of my site.

    I don’t have my IP address in the blacklist or have 2 factor authentication turned on.

    When I check the audit trail, my IP address is shown and that I’d attempted to login with an incorrect username.

    That didn’t happen though so the IP address recognition can’t be working correctly.

    Please help.

    Is the IP address in the audit the correct ip address of your computer, or your web server hosting the website?

    It’s the IP address of my web server hosting the website.

    I just got locked out again on that IP address. Keep having to use Forceoff to get back in.

    Got locked out again this morning. May need to disable the plugin at this rate!

    Interesting – the GASP feature seems to be triggering a lockout for me. And suddenly the login is pre-populated with a user “Undefined”.

    Turning off the GASP feature eliminated the lockout, but the undefined user triggers the cool-down.

    I’ve given up on Shield WordPress Security.

    I got fed up of being locked out of my own site. I moved to another security plugin and it hasn’t happened once so far.
