Keep getting redirected to my wordpress.com site

    I gave up trying to install wordpress on my windows server 3 months ago and am retrying. Not sure if I uploaded 2.5.1 or 2.6 to my server. Which version was up on Apr 22nd?

    Anyway, it said installantion succesful, but on my server I go to “site preview” and I get to a wordpress page with:

    “Hello World”

    No matter what I click I am redirected to my wordpress.com blog. My hosting provider has tried to help by changing the hosts file on my computer to force my browser to go to the IP address of my server and this does not work. They were able to allow me access to the Welcome page of WordPress on my server (different to the site preview page but with same links), but even here I can’t login to do anything. The login info I used on Forums and www.ads-software.com and wordpress.com don’t work.

    Can anyone help? I am not technical and would really appreciate any help you can provide.
