We keep getting X-Proxy-Cache => MISS in our website’s HTTP header when Cloudflare is turned on. That is, SG Optimizer’s Dynamic Caching is not working for us.

    Click below for details:

    Cloudflare ON
    Cloudflare OFF (Development Mode)

Above results obtained using the following online tool:

    https://www.webconfs.com/http-header-check.php

We have contacted both Cloudflare and SiteGround support (via tickets) to solve our issue but, so far, nothing. Perhaps someone in this support forum can help us solve this.

We’ve also troubleshooted the issue to no avail. Here’s what we’ve done:

    (1) WordPress: Deactivated all website plugins except SG Optimizer. Note: We also use WP Rocket (caching plugin) which is compatible with SG Optimizer (turned off WP Rocket as well).

    (2) SG Optimizer: Verified Caching features are turned on and active in our cPanel and plugin. Cleared cached

    (3) Cloudflare: Turned off all custom rules, turned off Railgun, turned off WAF.

    Thank you!

I think you’ve selected headers cache from the CloudFlare settings. When I bypass CF, everything works fine. Please, disable that and everything will be ok.

    Hi @hristo-sg,

    Can you be more specific?

We have a CF Page Rule which includes “Cache Level: Cache Everything.” If we change this to “Bypass,” we will not benefit from CF’s caching features.

We did this already and noticed a remarkable slowdown of our website when we selected “Bypass.”

So it appears that having a “CF-Cache-Status => HIT” is better than “X-Proxy-Cache => MISS”

Also noteworthy: With any CF cache level below “Cache Everything,” SG Railgun works. If we use “Cache Everything” it does not.

    What did we miss?

    Thanks!
