    Hello,

I use my blog for very personal reasons. I love the Publicize option with Jetpack because when it posts to facebook, it specifies that I sent a new blog post to wordpress – instead of sharing a link if i were to share it after the fact.

The only problem is that I do not want to Publicize EVERY post that I create. But the only way to disable it is to unclick the box next to facebook BEFORE publishing the post. This would be ok… except that I also have a Tumblr RSS feed connected so each time I update to Tumblr, it posts to my blog. I never want those on facebook since they are just blurbs… but because they auto-post from Tumblr, I can’t unclick the Publicize to Facebook option.

So………… Is there a way to unclick all publicize by default? Then for each post that I DO want to share, I can Click the box each time?

Right now, the only way to disable the auto-posting option is to completely remove the social media link which is not what I want to do as it would cause a hassle to reconnect each time.

Is there a code I can insert into the plugin,.. Or is there a ALTERNATE option such as another plugin that grants more options?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Nevermind I found a workaround.

The RSS feed importer that I use has the option to make the posts from any author I choose. So I created a user for my Tumblr posts, just for that feed.

Then I just didn’t click the “allow all users to publicize” option within the publicize jetpack so that it doesn’t publish when Tumblr does.

Its not a “fix” but it works for now.
