• I really thought I’d seen this option somewhere but I can’t find it. I operate a lot of blogs but have decided to create one just for me, that’s a journal. I don’t want anyone else to be able to view it. I thought I recalled a plugin where people had to be registered to view posts but I can’t find that. I was thinking it was the subscribe2 plugin but I don’t see that option there. Where do I find this capability?

    Thanks in advance ??
    Chris

  • I’d just bung it behind a password.

I’ve got “Post levels”, which sort of does what you want, but you have to set every post to “private” before you post it – and if you do that, you don’t need to bother with “post levels”, as I’m presuming you won’t give anyone other than yourself permission to see the posts.

Why not just set it up locally and you never have to worry about anyone seeing it or hacking it. You won’t have to register a domain or pay for hosting either.

Search for password protecting an entire website using the htpasswd feature. It password protects it on the server level.

Or if “local” won’t do, as you’re using more than one machine, install xampp & it onto a USB stick & keep it in your pocket.
