• I can’t see “Deposits” or “Transactions at all because it keeps saying I have to finish setup, but when I click on Finish Setup it just takes me back to the “Overview” page. I finished my setup a long time ago, what gives?

  • I’m getting the same thing all of the sudden, probably after the update.

    Hi @februaryfour,

This looks like a situation where may need to reset the connection to WordPress.com.

Please follow the directions here to do so and let us know how it goes – https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/payments/#section-20

I installed Jetpack and performed the disconnect. It did not solve the problem.

@luminus I just tried the Jetpack reset and it did not work either.

What is super odd is that it works on my phone just fine. I have cleared every cache and cookie associated with WordPress and Woocommerce and nothing has change.

    Hi,

We’ve identified a recent change in the 2.7.0 release that might be related but are still looking into what the cause here could be.

@tpzwoods Are you using the same WP admin user on both devices?

@pauldechov Yeah, same user any time I’m logged in. My accountant hasn’t gotten back to me about his phone. He is the one that noticed the issue for himself.

    Hi @tpzwoods, @galenusmedical,

This has been confirmed as a bug with the recent update, with a fix expected early next week.

Meanwhile please feel free to switch to the older version of the plugin. Ideally, that should take care of this issue.

    @simplysaru @galenusmedical @februaryfour

Can confirm rollback fixed the problem.

    Thanks!

@tpzwoods Thanks for the confirmation that the roll back worked.

    Hi all,

We are able to stop this issue from our end without a new release for the WooCommerce Payments plugin with a few notes:

1, The issue will be resolved in 2 hours or less for all users.
2, In case the issue is not resolved, you can use a plugin like Transients Manager https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/transients-manager/ and delete this item abtest_variation_wcpay_empty_state_preview_mode_v1.

If the issue is still there, feel free to respond here so we can continue looking at it.

I just had this issue pop up. Website was fine for a few days then got the “Finish setup” issue as discussed above.

I used a plugin to delete expired transients and the website returned to its normal state. About 24 hours later the issue returned again and deleting transients no longer restores the functionality.

The website is updated with the latest release of woocommerce, logs show no errors.

In this state the transactions/deposits etc screen on the dashboard is missing. Any suggestions on how to deal with this?

    Hi @cireclay,

As this is an older post, it is best to start a new thread concerning the issue – we can reply here this time, but if it continues to be an issue feel free to submit a ticket in our support center. Be sure to include your System Status Report with it, found under WooCommerce > Status.

When something is missing / not being able to be viewed, often it is an issue with a plugin conflict. `You can read more about plugin and theme conflicts here:

The best way to determine if the issue is being caused by a theme and/or plugin is to do the following:

    1. Temporarily switch your theme to the Storefront or Twenty Twenty Theme.
    2. Disable all plugins except for WooCommerce and WC Pay.
    3. Test to see if the issue has been resolved by viewing the Transactions/Payments area, and run a test payment if needed.

If that resolves the issue, then one-by-one you can switch back your theme and re-enable your plugins, testing in between, until you find the one causing the conflict.

We do *highly* recommend a staging site for these tests so that your Live site is unaffected. A staging site is a clone or copy of the Live site, used for testing. You can reach out to your Host if you need to have a staging site set up, as they usually can assist you with this.

If you have further questions, or if this does not solve the issue, please submit a ticket on the link above.

    Cheers!
