Keeps disappearing

I installed the plug-in and the next day it disappeared. It’s as though I never installed it, gone from the list of plug-ins and tools. After initial install I saw it working coming up with broken links as expected. Then the next day everything is gone. This happened twice? What did I do wrong? Help!
