Keeps logging out on Chrome one computer only

  • Hi,

    Annoying issue.

    My installation keeps logging out. Sometimes after logging in it shows backend but as soon as I press any link it goes back to login screen. Sometimes after logging in it loops to the login page again with no error.
    All cache and history cleaned.

    It happens on one site only, one computer only and Chrome only. The same happens in Opera.

    It works fine on Firefox on the same computer.
    Works fine on Chrome on another computer.

    Any idea how to fix it?

  • Hey Tom,

    Did you try after disabling the caching plugin?

    It can be some conflict, so try disabling all plugins and switching to default twenty nineteen themes.

    Also, install the Site Health checkup plugin it will help you.

    See if that can solve the issue.

    Yes, Kartik I did it a number of times and a strange thing happens.
    I disabled all plugins and then enabled them one by one. Every time ended up with all plugins re-enabled and the problem is gone.
    Then after a time, it comes back again.
    Site Health plugin… I’ll give it a try.

    I know you cleared cache and such, but try clearing cookies on the problem browser. Specifically cookies. Then hard restarting the browser.

    Cookies can get weird sometimes.
