• Hi there,

Is there a workaround for this? I empowered the Ajaxify plugin and it does submit my comments, but it is very frustrating that it keeps redirecting it to the homepage instead of staying on the comment / single page.

    Am I doing something wrong?

PS: is there a way to close the comments by clicking on the bubble itself instead of the ‘x’ button?

    Hi,

are you using version 2.0? Just to be sure.

When I understand it right, you get redirected to another page than the page you’ve commented on, don’t you? This would be very strange … Please confirm me that circumstance before I ask further questions.

PS: The closing thing is not possible right now. I’ve added it to my todo list. By the way, you can click anywhere else (but the bubble) to close the comments.

Yes, I am using the most recent version, downloaded from the WordPress repository. Exactly, that is correct… It does redirect me to the page where I can click on the post to open the comments instead of staying on the page with the comments.

Thanks. I hope your list will be translated to code soon ?? Good plugin btw.

What happens when you have Ajaxify disabled? The same redirect or just a page reload?

    I get a page reload…

PS: I get the following error with 2.0.1: Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘private’ (T_PRIVATE) in C:\werkruimte\www\examinate\wp-content\plugins\inline-comments\frontend\class-comments.php on line 152

I can’t see my site anymore.

Please replace the file “class-comments.php” with the following file and tell me if this solves your issue:

    Hi,

I’ve contacted the developer of WP-Ajaxify-Comments (@janjonas) and he guesses that the settings have to be adjusted to fit to your theme. Can you publish a link to your site so that we can have a look?

    Best regards,

    Kevin

@1bjk903: With version 2.0.2 of Inline Comments, comments will close when the user clicks on the bubble (instead of the ‘x’ button).
