Keeps sending me back to login screen

    When I try to log in to my WP site using OpenID and an OpenID address that I have configured in my profile, it just redirects me back to the WP login page. I am taken to the OpenID providers login, successfully login there, then I am redirected to the WP login page.

    I have tried this with several different OpenID addresses, including a WordPress.com one.

    This is only a problem when accessing the login screen over SSL, which since I had FORCE_SSL_LOGIN set true was always. Having disabled that I can now login in using OpenID using plain old http, but still not with https

    I know this is a bit old, but I was having a similar problem if not the same problem. My problem was caused by the fact that I forgot to add the OpenID URL to the “Your OpenIDs” section.

    I encountered this issue with local installation of WP v3.6, OpenID v3.3.4. I already installed both the OpenID and XRDS-Simple plugins, and configured OpenID settings under both Users > Your OpenIDs and Settings > OpenID. I did not modify the wp-config.php file in any way, and I set the OpenID URL in “Your OpenIDs” to point to my localhost WP directory.

    Do I need to install JanRain OpenID-Enabled or do I just need to tweak my OpenID configuration within WP?
